Grit

Grit: “perseverance and passion for long-term goals.” It’s something that seems to be sorely lacking today. It was at onetime the stuff that made America great among nations. We need its return very soon.

Grit is featured as the central theme of my book, The Horse Whisperers from Anaconda. This book describes in great detail the grit that polished America into the gem that it is today in the personages of two simple horse whisperers. It is not an epic of the rich and powerful but rather a story about real everyday people, who like today’s equals, continue to make a positive difference in our country. The story begins on the banks of the Mississippi River and moves throughout the American West.

We all have people in our own families who have made small but important contributions to our country’s history. Please give my book a read and also let me know here in this forum about the contributions from your own family. They are important and should be shared.
